How we price
No two businesses need the same work. So we don't publish one price.
Every engagement is a fixed monthly fee scoped to your business, quoted in writing after a free 30-minute discovery call with a partner. Tell us how your business runs and we'll tell you exactly what we'd do and what it costs.
No obligation. We'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
Why we don't publish a rate card
- Two businesses with the same revenue can need very different work: one entity or four, one state or nine, 200 transactions a month or 5,000, books that are current or a year behind.
- A published price either overcharges the simple business or underscopes the complex one, and underscoping comes back later as add-on fees.
- We'd rather quote once, in writing, for the work you actually need, and hold to it.
What happens on the call
Step 1
We learn how your business runs
Entities and states, the software you're on, where the books stand today, payroll, and what's coming up: a tax deadline, a loan, a raise, a sale.
Step 2
We tell you what you need, and what you don't
Bookkeeping, accounting, tax, fractional CFO, or some mix. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
Step 3
You get a written fixed-fee proposal
A fixed monthly fee scoped to your business, with any one-time cleanup or catch-up priced separately and up front. You see the number before you sign anything.
Helpful to have handy
None of this is required, but it lets us quote on the call instead of after it.
- The accounting software you use (QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or none yet)
- How many entities you run and the states you operate or have employees in
- Your payroll provider, if you have one
- Roughly how far behind the books are, if they are
- Your most recent filed business return

Pricing and the discovery call, FAQs
- How much do Rubric Financial's services cost?
- Every engagement is a fixed monthly fee scoped to your business and its complexity, with retainer or hourly arrangements where they genuinely fit. We don't publish a rate card or a ballpark. After a free 30-minute discovery call you get a written fixed-fee proposal before you sign anything.
- Is the discovery call free?
- Yes. It's 30 minutes with a partner, not a sales rep, and there's no obligation to engage us afterwards.
- Can you give me a ballpark over email instead?
- We'd rather not guess. The fee depends on the entities, the books, and the work ahead of you, and a range quoted without seeing those becomes the wrong anchor for both sides. If you'd rather not get on a call, send us your books for a free review and we'll scope from that.
- Are there extra fees after I sign?
- The monthly fee covers the scope in your proposal, and there's no per-question fee. One-time work like a catch-up or cleanup is quoted separately before it starts, never billed as a surprise.
